Recently, the Punjab government decided to recruit school teacher interns (STIs) in various schools. The Punjab government issued this notification on 16 February 2021. within the 1st phase, the govt will recruit candidates from the 06 districts of Punjab. However, the monthly stipend are going to be 18000 to 30,000.

Payment of Stipend

The selected candidates will receive the subsequent monthly stipend in their banks’ accounts consistent with levels.

Level Stipend per day Stipend per month

Higher Secondary Rs 1200 Rs 30,000

Secondary Rs 1000 Rs 25,000

Elementary Rs 800 Rs 20,000

Primary Rs 720 Rs 18,000

 

Monthly stipend = monthly stipend of STI for a specific level + total Number of days during a month

Eligibility Criteria

• The minimum age for males: 20-50 years

• Age for females: 20 55 years

• Candidates must belong from the local area. The committee will verify the residence of the candidates therein area.

Required Qualification

o For the first level, the specified qualification is matriculation.

o For the elementary level, the specified qualification is intermediate.

o However, for Secondary and better Secondary, the specified qualification is BA, BSc, and BS.

Marks Distribution

The total marks for the choice are going to be 100. However, 05 marks are going to be of the interview, while the remaining marks are going to be distributed consistent with the candidates’ degree levels.

STI Marks for Primary level

• Matric 55 marks

• Intermediate 15 marks

• Graduation 15 marks

• Masters 10 marks

• Interview 05 marks

STI Marks for Elementary Level

 

• Matric 15 marks

• Intermediate 55 marks

• Graduation 15 marks

• Masters 10 marks

• Interview 05 marks

STI marks for Secondary and better Secondary level

• Matric 15 marks

• Intermediate 15 marks

• Graduation 55 marks

• Masters 10 marks

• Interview 05 marks

However, within the case of BS, the marks of Graduation and Master’s degree will combine.
